Families are the invisible victims of incarceration. They do the time with their loved ones- usually alone and with no support.
Incarceration is especially hard for parents separated from their children- youth or adults. Without warning, they find themselves tangled in the “the system”- trying to figure out visiting schedules and procedures, telephones, bail; juggling child care and transportation; and struggling with the legal process- all while coping with sorrow and pain over the loss of their son or daughter.
A More Excellent Way Ministry aims to minister to these parents. We aim to comfort them in their sorrow and anxiety, help them figure out the system, and stand with them during their time of trial.
