NEPM Condemns Violence Against the AAPI Community

We are deeply troubled by the senseless murders of eight people in Atlanta, including six women of Asian descent. This horrendous act comes following an unfortunate increased wave of violence and discrimination against Asian American/Pacific Islanders since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is also another horrid and detestable example of violence against women. We at NEPM remain committed to programming and dialogue which address all forms of racism, hatred, bigotry, discrimination, and misogyny in our society. As a trusted and respected community resource, our goals of inclusion, diversity, equity and access will further our mission to provide ways for our audiences to address these serious issues where they live. We stand in support of the Asian American/Pacific Islander community during this time and always.
