In the latest episode of Jazz Beat, Tom Reney spoke with Paul Arslanian about his career in jazz. Paul is a veteran pianist who's been a highly visible figure in jazz in Western Massachusetts since 1984. In 2010, he was a co-founder of the Northampton Jazz Workshop, and since then, he's produced a series of weekly performances that feature a guest artist who plays with the Northampton-based Green Street Trio. Arslanian is the Trio's pianist, which also includes bassist George Kaye and drummer Jon Fisher.

The program will air consists of a medley of time-lapse watercolor painting, dance performances, craft discussion, artists in discussion, and a musical interlude. The art walk will be streamed live on Thursday June 4, beginning at 5 p.m.
Puccini’s Tosca
The Met Opera presents Puccini's Tosca as part of their nightly streaming programming. This classic from 1978 seizes every opportunity to thrill the audience! Luciano Pavarotti is Cavaradossi, the painter and political revolutionary in love with the beautiful and famous singer Tosca, played by the riveting Shirley Verrett. With torture, murder, and a suicide in its final moments, Tosca packs more dramatic punches than most other operas—and this classic telecast (produced by PBS) captures them all. Tosca will be available for viewing beginning Thursday, June 4 at 7:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. the following day.
Rhiannon Giddens with Francesco Turrisi
The Parlor Room Home Sessions brings you Rhiannon Giddens with Francesco Turrisi! NPR reported that both members of the duo "are both gifted multi-instrumentalists and devoted students of music history. Each has dug into the past to illuminate the present and worked to give credit where credit is due for the way instruments and ideas have moved over time between people and places." The livestream will begin on Friday, June 5 at 12:30 p.m.

Zeshan B Performance
Laudable Productions has joined Global Arts Live to support Chicago based soul-singer Zeshan B and Black Lives Matter. Millpond.live concert goers will remember Zeshan B’s tempestuous soul arias, urban love dramas, Memphis blues, and civil rights anthems performed with an idiomatically Indo-Pakistani feel. He poured his heart out in English, Urdu, and Punjabi, narrating tales of instability, ambiguity, injustice, and unrequited love through the prism of his family's immigrant experience. Donations will be split between Zeshan B and Black Lives Matter. The performance streams live on Tuesday, June 9 at 8:00 p.m. on Laudable's Facebook and YouTube pages.
