Jazz Beat 44 is devoted to Tom Reney's appreciation of the blues singer and guitarist T-Bone Walker.
T-Bone was the genuine pioneer of the electric guitar in blues and a huge influence on B.B. King and virtually every other blues guitarist who ever plugged in. King said, "He should have been the world-wide symbol of the blues, but T-Bone was born too soon." Reney's feature includes a career-wide sampling of T-Bone's recordings and reflections on his unique status as a blues artist who toured extensively with jazz musicians.
