Massachusetts Review Presents A Reading with Sam Taylor

Wednesday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m.

The Massachusetts Review welcomes 2020 Anne Halley Prize-winning poet Sam Taylor for a free virtual poetry reading. Sam Taylor is the author of three books of poems, Body of the World, Nude Descending an Empire, and the forthcoming The Book of Fools: An Essay in Memoir and Verse. Founded in 1959 by a group of professors from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Amherst College, Mount Holyoke, and Smith College, MR publishes literature and art that provokes debate, inspires action, and expands our understanding of the world around us.

Carey Larsen is a member of the Marketing, Events and Communications team. She is primarily responsible for creating and managing emails sent to members of the NEPM community. For WGBY, she was the development coordinator, pledge producer, volunteer coordinator and email marketing manager. Prior to that, she was the general manager of the Pioneer Valley Symphony. Carey is a professional musician. She serves as soprano soloist at the First Church of Christ in Longmeadow.
