An investigation uncovers widespread sexual abuse of detainees at ICE facilities

A new podcast episode from “Latino USA” has uncovered serious and wide-reaching allegations of sexual abuse, assault and misconduct in Immigrations and Customs Enforcement facilities, perpetrated by staff against detainees.

The report, a collaboration between Futuro Investigates and PBS NewsHour journalist Zeba Warsi, spoke to dozens of women who had made allegations. Little was done in most cases and it is believed there are thousands more too scared to come forward.

Host Deepa Fernandes sits down with Warsi, who investigated for more than two years, to hear what she found and what is and is not being done.
