Annual Holiday Vespers Concert
Annual Holiday Vespers Concert
The Mount Holyoke College Choral Forces presents the annual Vespers concert. The selected music ensembles will perform first at Abbey Chapel on the Mount Holyoke College campus in South Hadley, MA at 4 pm and 7:30 pm on Sunday, December 4, 2022. This performance is free and open to the public. The ensembles will then travel to New York City for a third performance at St. Bartholomew’s Church at 8 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2022.
Close to 200 students will participate. The performance features the Mount Holyoke College Choral Forces — Chorale, Glee Club and Chamber Singers — all conducted by Visiting Lecturer in Music and Interim Director of Choral Studies Rachel Feldman. The English Handbell Ensemble, Vocal and Chamber Jazz Ensembles, directed by Director of Jazz Ensembles Mark Gionfriddo and the Flute Choir, directed by Director of Flute Choir Alison Hale ’75, will also perform.
This joyous concert is a beloved College tradition that has brought students, faculty, staff and community members together for generations. Join us for an illuminating performance of a candlelight processional, carol singing and music spanning numerous genres to celebrate the holiday season.
