Beloved Classics & New Compositions

Beloved Classics & New Compositions

Come support emerging student musicians and enjoy a delicious seasonal meal at the Inn on Boltwood.

Amherst College Seniors Hannah Kim (violin), Jason Kang (violin), Daniel Martin (violin), Harry Panner (viola), and Oren Tirschwell (cello) will perform a program of string quartet and smaller-ensemble music. This will include the premiere of a piece for string quartet written for them by a current composition student at Amherst. They will also perform a few timeless classics, including the Mendelssohn F Minor String Quartet.

These students are among the founding members of the Amherst College Artist Connections (ACAC) program. They are spending the semester preparing programs and performing them in a variety of venues, both across the campus at Amherst College, and out in the broader community. These five students look forward to sharing what they have been working on this semester in the first ever Bombyx / Boltwood collaboration.
