The Boston Progressive Jazz Festival makes its return to the Arts at the Armory for two nights showcasing an array of local artists and bands that make you ask the question, “what is jazz anyway?” From big band to head-thrashing metal, from Brazilian singer-songwriters to the avant-garde, this festival allows a tasting and exposure to the vibrant and diverse music culture that has come out of the Boston jazz scene.
