Orders are now being taken for the 4th Annual Friends of the Westfield Athenaeum Star Lights Luminaria Fundraiser. Honor the people who light up your life: teachers, friends, nurses, city officials, hair stylists, clergy, military veterans, local business owners, family members, police officers, wait staff, and more. Be creative! Luminarias honoring loved ones who have passed are also welcome. Personalized luminarias are still only $7 each, and will be displayed in the windows of downtown Westfield businesses throughout December. Paper forms are also available from the circulation desks at the Library. The deadline to order is November 4.
The Friends is a non-profit volunteer organization that supports programs and services of the Westfield Athenaeum. Funds raised go toward programs such as the Museum Pass Program, Wowbrary e-mail newsletter, crafts programs for children and teens, adult and youth summer reading programs, movie series, and more.
