"It Takes A Village"

"It Takes A Village"

Folksinger and storyteller Tim Van Egmond will perform "It Takes A Village," a free concert for all ages on Saturday, August 24 at 12:30 P.M. at the Greenfield Public Library. The concert will highlight and celebrate the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters “to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of Youth.” Van Egmond will weave together songs and stories about the special gifts young people have, and the challenges they face. Join in on songs like “You’ve Got To Talk My Language,” become spellbound in stories like “The Boy Who Turned Himself Into A Peanut!” Van Egmond will accompany himself on guitar, hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, and limberjack (a dancing wooden puppet that taps out a rhythm on a paddleboard).

This program is funded by a Music Innovation Fund Grant from A Still Small Voice 4U.
