Palestine Hijacked: A Book Talk by Thomas Suárez

Palestine Hijacked: A Book Talk by Thomas Suárez

Amherst for Palestine, the Muslim Student Association, MENAA, and the Black Student Union present Palestine Hijacked: A Book Talk by Thomas Suárez.

The century of violence in historic Palestine brought by Zionism has reached its inevitable reckoning. Suárez will explore the marketing of the Israeli state that has manufactured the public’s consent, and propose strategies to break its hold.

Food and drinks will be provided after the talk, and copies of the book will be available for purchase with a 20% student discount from Interlink Books, a Northampton-based, Palestinian-owned publisher and bookseller since 1987.

This talk was made possible by the generous support of the Georges Lurcy Lecture Series Endowment. The event is sponsored by the Center for Humanistic Inquiry and the Department of Anthropology and Sociology, and is affiliated with ENST330, “Environmental Justice”.

The talk is free, open to the public, and wheelchair accessible.
