The Court, the Palace, the Ocean, the Trees: Michael Poll, classical guitar and Emi Ferguson, flute

The Court, the Palace, the Ocean, the Trees: Michael Poll, classical guitar and Emi Ferguson, flute

First of a series of concerts in 2022, the program features music of J.S. Bach and Domenico Scarlatti arranged for classical guitar and flute, Astor Piazzola's History of the Tango, and pieces by Toru Takemitsu, Elizabeth Ogonek and Gabriella Ortiz. Michael Poll received his DM (doctor of music degree) from the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he focused on a deep understanding of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. English-American flutist Emi Ferguson, whose performance style has been called 'hauntingly beautiful,' is also a singer and songwriter. She holds two postgraduate degrees from the Julliard School of Music, in flute performance and historic performance. She is principal flutist for the Handel & Hadyn Society. This first of five classical concerts at the Gilbertville Stone Church will be memorable.
