Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Tour

Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Tour
Kestrel Land Trust and the Center for the Environment, Ecological Design, and Sustainability (CEEDS) at Smith College are excited to present the 2025 Wild & Scenic Film Festival!
This inspiring festival brings together films that celebrate the beauty of nature, spotlight environmental activism, and share powerful stories that call us to action. The original Wild & Scenic Film Festival was produced in California by the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL). And, now the Wild & Scenic Film Festival ON TOUR is coming to Northampton!
The Northampton Wild & Scenic Film Festival will feature a selection of ten short, inspiring films ranging from local to global. Far more than a night of entertainment, this event will be a celebration of community, land conservation, activism, and our shared commitment to protecting the planet and all of its inhabitants.
Here’s a sample of some of the film titles from around the country and the world:
Freetown: Cooling a City
Arctic Ice: Under The Midnight Sun
Abundance: The Farmlink Story
The Bear Coast
Judy’s Creek: Discovering the Secret Life of the Streambed
People of Red Mountain: Life Over Lithium
Your attendance will support Kestrel Land Trust’s mission to conserve, care for, and connect people to the land in Connecticut River Valley! And, you’ll learn more about Smith College CEEDS’ mission to catalyze, enable, and support inquiry and action toward positive sustainable change at Smith and in the world.
>> Students from any college, university, or high school can attend for free! <<
The event will take place at the Weinstein Auditorium in Wright Hall at Smith College. It will include 2 hours of films with an intermission. Get your ticket on the webspite.
