Hear curators Dr. Emma Chubb and Yao Wu talk about changes at the Smith College Museum of Art, including closing "Black Refractions" on loan from the Studio Museum and preparing for "SCMA100: Then\Now\Next."
Jacob's Pillow: Dance in the Time of COVID-19
Join Jacob's Pillow for a special YouTube premiere, in which Director of Preservation Norton Owen shares some favorite treasures from the Jacob's Pillow Archives, in honor of choreographer Judith Jamison's upcoming birthday.The live event features video clips from a memorable 2012 PillowTalk covering Jamison's beginnings as a young dancer in Philadelphia and how she first came to the attention of her mentor, Alvin Ailey. Jamison also shares what it was like to dance with Mikhail Baryshnikov and star on Broadway in Sophisticated Ladies. The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions. Join them on Wednesday, May 6 at 5:00 p.m.
