Described as “Indigenous futurism,” Albuquerque’s hip-hop and freestyle dance scene is driven by Indigenous dancers from many tribes, Pueblos and communities. A strong sense of solidarity holds it together. This short, available for streaming any time, is part of NEPM’s collection of programming honoring Native American Heritage Month.

Carey Larsen
Carey Larsen is a member of the Marketing, Events and Communications team. She is primarily responsible for creating and managing emails sent to members of the NEPM community. For WGBY, she was the development coordinator, pledge producer, volunteer coordinator and email marketing manager. Prior to that, she was the general manager of the Pioneer Valley Symphony. Carey is a professional musician. She serves as soprano soloist at the First Church of Christ in Longmeadow.
