REVIVAL/50 is a year-long digital performance series celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Augusta Savage Gallery, located in New Africa House at UMass. Its mission is to promote artistic works from a broad spectrum of cultures. Layaali preserves the rich legacy of Arabic culture through soulful vocals, hypnotic instrumental improvisations, and electrifying percussion. On Friday, Nov. 6 at 4 p.m., Layaali's 8-member ensemble presents a concert accompanied by a conversation with ensemble members on Facebook.

Carey Larsen
Carey Larsen is a member of the Marketing, Events and Communications team. She is primarily responsible for creating and managing emails sent to members of the NEPM community. For WGBY, she was the development coordinator, pledge producer, volunteer coordinator and email marketing manager. Prior to that, she was the general manager of the Pioneer Valley Symphony. Carey is a professional musician. She serves as soprano soloist at the First Church of Christ in Longmeadow.
