Martin Miller

Senior Counsel

Martin Miller began his role as Senior Counsel in January 2022 after serving as President and CEO of New England Public Media. As CEO and General Manager of New England Public Radio since 1995, NEPR's audience and annual budget have almost doubled, and the station has grown from just WFCR 88.5FM to a thirteen station network with three program services, a website and active social media presence.

Under his leadership the station moved into state-of-the-art headquarters in downtown Springfield, Massachusetts in 2014 and re-opened the renovated Five College Studios in Hampshire House on the UMass Amherst campus in 2016.

Before coming to New England Public Radio, Martin served in a number of capacities over a ten year period for WGBH Radio. During his career he has earned multiple awards including the prestigious Ohio State Award.

Miller is a trained mediator and has worked as a volunteer in small claims courts in the region. He currently serves on the board of the Springfield Central Cultural District, and is a former board member of Beit Ahavah, the Reform Jewish community based in Florence.

He studied trombone at the State University of New York at Buffalo where he earned a BFA and MFA in Music Education.
