Marijuana Law Uncertainty, Electric Rate Drop And A Catholic Church Closing: The Short List

We lead off 2018 with news that U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions rescinded a policy that allowed states to go ahead with legalizing marijuana. So what will this mean for Massachusetts?

Also this past week, Eversource announced that instead of raising electric rates for consumers in Massachusetts, it would pass along savings to customers, thanks to the new federal tax law.

We also talk about a 100-year-old Catholic church closing in Springfield, Massachusetts, due to sagging attendance and finances. What do churches closing their doors mean to people's faith?

And we couldn't go without a weather-related topic this week. Was this week's big storm a nor'easter, a blizzard, a "bomb cyclone," or some other word not fit for publication?
