Juneteenth Celebration

Blunt Park, 1780 Roosevelt Ave, Springfield
Saturday, June 19 from 12 – 2 p.m.

The theme of this free celebration is “Families First— Back in Stride.” It will feature performances from award-winning recording artist Michelle Brooks-Thompson, local Gospel songstress Vanessa Ford, Preacherman, and Dream Studios. There will also be a delicious spread of southern soul food, free COVID testing and vaccinations, Juneteenth history presentations, and more.

Carey Larsen
Carey Larsen is a member of the Marketing, Events and Communications team. She is primarily responsible for creating and managing emails sent to members of the NEPM community. For WGBY, she was the development coordinator, pledge producer, volunteer coordinator and email marketing manager. Prior to that, she was the general manager of the Pioneer Valley Symphony. Carey is a professional musician. She serves as soprano soloist at the First Church of Christ in Longmeadow.
