Voters at the high school in Ludlow, Massachusetts, cast their ballots on Election Day 2020.

It's still unclear who won the state representative seat in Massachusetts 7th Hampden District.

An errant tally election night, which the Associated Press reported, appeared to give Republican Chip Harrington the win. But Democrat Jake Oliveira didn't concede and now, with the correction, Oliveira is ahead by fewer than 150 votes.

Harrington said he awaits activity from elections officials in Belchertown, Chicopee, Springfield and Ludlow, he said, who have additional mail-in ballots to count.

“How many of those are there? We would assume it's not a very large number, but this whole year has been a dumpster fire,” Harrington said. “So we haven't made any declaration one way or the other right now, just because of that.”

Harrington said his campaign will deicide whether or not to petition for a recount after all ballots are counted.

Oliveira said he is confident in the accuracy of the numbers and his campaign is working with election officials to ensure every vote is counted.
