Sweet Honey in the Rock

Sweet Honey in the Rock: MLK Day Celebration — Reclaiming the Beloved Community
Stream Sunday, Jan. 17 at 3 p.m. & 8 p.m.

Join Washington, D.C.-based, African-American a cappella ensemble, Sweet Honey in the Rock®, as they mark this year's Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a celebration of hope, resilience, and new beginnings. The ensemble will take the stage at the historic Lincoln Theatre, where they will connect with an audience of thousands who join via Zoom from around the world.

The concert will feature an exciting lineup of guests including Kiki Shepard, Keith David, Mumu Fresh, Azar Lawrence, and Wycliffe Gordon who reflect the life of Reverend King and offer words of inspiration for the future. Stream Sunday, Jan. 17 at 3 p.m. & 8 p.m.

Carey Larsen is a member of the Marketing, Events and Communications team. She is primarily responsible for creating and managing emails sent to members of the NEPM community. For WGBY, she was the development coordinator, pledge producer, volunteer coordinator and email marketing manager. Prior to that, she was the general manager of the Pioneer Valley Symphony. Carey is a professional musician. She serves as soprano soloist at the First Church of Christ in Longmeadow.
