Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren said she is sharing her own story about sexual harassment as a way to show solidarity and say victims are not at fault.
Warren was one of four Democratic senators to share their stories on NBC's "Meet the Press."
Warren said when she was a young law professor, a senior faculty member asked her to stop by his office one day.
"And he slammed the door and lunged for me. It was like a bad cartoon," Warren said. "He's chasing me around the desk, trying to get his hands on me, and I kept saying, 'You don't want to do this. You don't want to do this. I have little children at home. You don't want to do this.' And trying to talk calmly."
Warren said she escaped out of the office, and told only her best friend about it.
The senator shared her story as part of the #MeToo campaign.
