Former state senator Stanley Rosenberg of Amherst

Former Massachusetts Senate President Stan Rosenberg will host a new TV program focused on Amherst town and state government affairs.

The weekly program, “Byline with Stan Rosenberg,” will feature interviews with local, regional and state officials. Rosenberg is working with the League of Women Voters of Amherst and Amherst Media to produce the show.

The first episode will feature Rosenberg's talk with Amherst Town Council President Lynn Griesemer, and airs Friday, December 28 on local access cable.

Rosenberg represented Amherst on Beacon Hill for more than 25 years. He resigned in May after an ethics committee found that he failed to protect the Senate from his estranged husband, Bryon Hefner, who is facing charges of sexual misconduct.
