Chestnut Conservation Symposium
This Symposium is an educational event. It is free and open to the public. Presented by the Massachusetts and Rhode Island Chapter of The American Chestnut Foundation (TACF), the Symposium will provide first hand information about what is involved in continuing efforts to restore the American chestnut tree to its native range in the eastern states of America. The Chief Conservation Officer of TACF, Sara Fitzsimmons, will present the keynote address and chapter board members and community partners will share stories about managing research orchards, using a chestnut orchard as a teaching tool and restoring the bald eagle to Massachusetts.
