Fitchburg Historical Society “Turkey Day” Fundraiser

Fitchburg Historical Society “Turkey Day” Fundraiser
The Fitchburg Historical Society is welcoming visitors for a new kind of event on Saturday, November 5 starting at 6 p.m. The Fitchburg History Trivia Quiz Show will feature three local celebrities testing their knowledge of local history and trivia. There will be lots of laughs when politico Ellen DiGeronimo, Fitchburg State University Assistant Professor Kisha Tracy and Fitchburg State University administrator Aaron Tourigny test their knowledge (or give a wild guess!) about Fitchburg’s history. The hosts will be Jessie Olson, of the Fitchburg Cultural Alliance and Noah Hatton, of WPKZ radio.
Because it’s November, this will be the Turkey Days edition, with a few local turkeys featured in the questions, plus a look at the important local tradition of the Thanksgiving rivalry football game against Leominster High, one of the oldest such rivalries in the country.
Tickets are available in advance for $25.00; the number of tickets available is limited. For more information, or to purchase a ticket, call the Fitchburg Historical Society at 978-345-1157, or visit their website www.fitchburghistoricalsociety.com
