Immigrant Writing Workshop: Translation

Immigrant Writing Workshop: Translation

The Immigrant Writing Workshop: Translation is a two-session virtual workshop that will be held via Zoom on Thursdays, November 13 and December 4, 2025 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. This workshop is designed for emerging and established writers of all backgrounds who are immigrants or are focusing on translating immigration-related literary works. Registration is required and closes at noon on Wednesday, November 12. To learn more and register, please visit www.joneslibrary.org/translationworkshop

All workshop participants receive a free digital copy of a Restless Books title written by an immigrant writer. Exceptional pieces produced in the workshop are considered for publication by Restless Books. These workshops are for participants ages 17 and older.

Established in 2013, the nonprofit international publisher Restless Books, based in Amherst, MA, is devoted to publishing in English translation the best international literature for children and adults and to giving immigrant writers a voice.

For more information, please contact Janet Ryan at 413-259-3223.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Amherst Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
