Mushrooms of Berkshire County
Presenting the fourth program in the Berkshire Nature Talk Series. John Wheeler, president of the Berkshire Mycological Society, will present a talk on the Mushrooms of Berkshire County. According to Wheeler, there are around 1100 distinct species of mushrooms found in the Berkshires. Wheeler will present a slide show and talk about these fungi friends (and some foes) and discuss the risks and rewards of foraging in Berkshire forests.
