Northampton, MA — The School for Contemporary Dance & Thought (SCDT) is proud to present FALL DANCE, a dynamic performance event celebrating the artistry of SCDT’s faculty and community of teaching artists. This evening of dance offers audiences a chance to witness bold, boundary-pushing choreography from some of the region’s most exciting local and nationally recognized movement artists.
“FALL DANCE is an invitation to celebrate the rich artistic talent right here in our community,” says Artistic Director Jen Polins. “These artists are not only innovators on stage but also dedicated teachers who inspire the next generation of movers and makers.”
Featured artists include:
LOS LITTLE GUYS – an internationally touring Mexico-USA project founded in 2017 by Erik Elizondo and Dimitri Kalaitzidis (PVPA alumnus, current Smith MFA).
Chloe London Dance – NYC-based choreographer and recent Smith College MFA graduate.
Jen Polins – Founding Artistic Director of SCDT and two-time MCC choreographic fellow.
Francesca Baron – Smith MFA graduate and local movement educator.
Ellie Goudie-Averill – Co Director of ATLAND in Chesterfield MA and SCDT faculty
Tori Lawrence – SCDT Board Member,interdisciplinary artist and Co-Director of ATLAND
Madison Palffy – local choreographer and co-director of LOCULUS in Holyoke, MA.
Through FALL DANCE, SCDT continues its mission of cultivating a vibrant space where performance, education, and community meet. Since its founding in 2014, SCDT has supported over 1,500 artists, curated more than 400 events, and engaged with over 10,000 community members.SCDT provides classes, workshops, and performances that connect local audiences to internationally acclaimed artists while fostering creativity, collaboration, and inclusion. Programming is organized into two annual seasons and includes weekly dance classes, artist residencies, and curated performances.
