The state of Massachusetts has billions of dollars in federal COVID-19 relief money sitting in bank accounts, instead of being used, and with the state legislature in recess it could remain that way for months. Governor Charlie Baker slammed lawmakers Thursday for taking no action on the funding before their recess.“We basically are stuck in neutral, while many other parts of the country are making investments in their people and in their economies, and I really think this is something the legislature needs to get finished,” Baker said.
And Another Thing devotes Fridays to reviewing some of the major news stories of the past week. The legislative recess is one of the items panelists will analyze.
Also to be reviewed are the opening of COVID-19 vaccines to most people, an allegation that one politician in North Adams threatened another political figure, and the apparent end of a plan to lower greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles in northeast states.
