The MGM casino in Springfield, Massachusetts, reported its revenues dropped slightly in November. But it's paying out more to slot machine gamblers.

MGM Springfield reported $21.2 million in gambling revenue last month — a drop of about 4 percent compared to October.

MGM also said its hold percentage, which is the part of every dollar gambled the casino keeps, is down to a little under 8 percent. It's dropped every month since opening in August.

Clyde Barrow is a casino expert who's consulted for MGM's competition — Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods in Connecticut.

"The fact that you've seen the casino hold going down on a percentage basis each of the months tells me that they're trying to put more money back into the pockets of the players in an effort to attract and hold them," Barrow said.

In a statement, MGM Springfield didn't address the declining hold percentage for slot machines, but said it continues to be pleased with the casino's overall performance.
