Tom was honored by the Jazz Journalists Association with the Willis Conover-Marian McPartland Award for Career Excellence in Broadcasting in 2019. In addition to hosting Jazz à la Mode since 1984, Tom writes the jazz blog and produces the Jazz Beat podcast at NEPM. He began working in jazz radio in 1977 at WCUW, a community-licensed radio station in Worcester, Massachusetts. Tom holds a bachelor's degree from UMass Amherst, where he majored in English and African American Studies.

Raquel was born in Lima, Peru. She graduated from the University of San Marcos, where she studied Mathematics, and subsequently became a high school math teacher. She began working at New England Public Media in 2004, as the co-host of Tertulia. In 2010 Raquel took over as full-time host of the program.

Jon is host of New England Public Media’s Sunday morning classical program on WFCR. He first worked at NEPR, then WFCR, while a student at Amherst College; after years as a craftsman he rejoined the station as a music announcer and producer. At WGBH Radio in Boston, he was responsible for classical programming and national and international music productions, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra and "Sound and Spirit." His productions have won the Ohio State and Gabriel Awards, and honors from the International Radio Festival, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and the National Federation of Community Broadcasters. Now back in the Valley, he is currently president of Arcadia Players and enjoys performing with the Da Camera Singers.

Martin Miller began his role as Senior Counsel in January 2022 after serving as President and CEO of New England Public Media. As CEO and General Manager of New England Public Radio since 1995, NEPR's audience and annual budget had almost doubled, and the station has grown from just WFCR 88.5FM to a thirteen station network with three program services, a website and active social media presence.

Chuck has been Chief Engineer for radio at New England Public Media since 2003. He has been deeply involved with the design and construction of the Springfield and Amherst studio facilities along with several AM and FM transmitter sites around the region. Chuck has spent over two decades in commercial and non-commercial broadcasting, is a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers (Certified Professional Broadcast Engineer) & the American Radio Relay League (Extra Class amateur radio licensee) and has authored articles for radio related publications.

Jerry has worked at New England Public Media since 2002, first as a multimedia account executive, and now in his new role with the development department. Before coming to NEPM he worked as a haberdasher in clothing stores in both Hartford and Amherst. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Jerry has served on the boards of the Holyoke Children’s Museum, Amherst ABC and the Northampton Community Music School. When he isn’t working, he enjoys playing bass guitar, running, biking and kicking field goals.
