Dr. Mark Keroack, President and CEO of Baystate Health, is among the latest hospital chiefs to ask for a statewide mask mandate in Massachusetts.

Newtown, Connecticut, marked another grim anniversary this week. Tuesday was the ninth anniversary of the day 20 first-grade pupils and six adults died in a shooting massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

The anniversary is one of the news stories reviewed by the hosts and a panel of journalists as part of the regular Friday analysis of the week’s news on And Another Thing.

Other stories reviewed by the panel include calls to revive a mandatory indoor mask mandate in Massachusetts, an appeal aimed at reinstitution criminal charges related to COVID-19 deaths at the Holyoke Soldiers' Home, and the race for governor of Massachusetts.
