Sure, some of your favorite summer pastimes are out of reach this summer, but there’s still the chance to relax with the simple pleasure of reading — with the help of New England Public Media’s annual local fiction series. Most Fridays on Morning Edition we feature an interview with an author from New England who has a new novel out for these lazy days in the sun. Jacobs Pillow - Royal Danish Ballet

Jacobs Pillow Presents the Royal Danish Ballet

Revered as the world’s third oldest ballet company, the Royal Danish Ballet most recently returned to Jacob’s Pillow for the first time in over a decade to open Festival 2018 in the Ted Shawn Theatre. Enjoy highlights from that performance including excerpts from A Folk Tale, La Sylphide, Kermesse in Bruges, Giselle, and Napoli. The virtual event on Thursday, July 30 at 7 p.m. includes a pre-show talk by Jacob’s Pillow Director of Preservation Norton Owen, and a post-show talk with Artistic Director Nikolaj Hübbe.

America’s beloved diva performs live in an intimate and iconic American venue — the music salon of Dumbarton Oaks in Washington, D.C.
