The decisions of both Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker and Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito to run for no public offices next year opens up lots of political possibilities, according to the panel of journalists who reviewed some of the week’s top news stories on And Another Thing. Panelists found the decision of Polito to leave politics particularly surprising.And Another Thing devotes Fridays to analysis of the week’s news.
Other stories panelists discussed included a deal among Massachusetts state lawmakers to authorize spending $4 billion primarily in federal funding on COVID relief efforts, plans for COVID vaccine proof for area residents on their mobile phones, and another round in the legal fight between Mayor Domenic Sarno and the Springfield City Council over control of the police Department.
