MGM Springfield Total Revenue Recovers Slightly From Downward Trend

Gaming revenue at the casino in Springfield, Massachusetts, recovered slightly last month after a downward trend. But table gaming revenue is still declining.

The MGM Springfield casino delivered about $5.4 million to the state in taxes for December 2018, according to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission. That’s up slightly from $5.3 million in November.

Players wagered $194.26 million on the casino’s slot machines last month. While 92.66 percent of it was returned to players as winnings, MGM Springfield reported $14.26 million in gross slot revenue in December.

The casino also counted $7.3 million in gross revenue from its table games for a total monthly revenue of about $21.6 million.

Table gaming revenue at MGM Springfield has been declining since a high of $8.8 million earned for the month of September.
