The Kendall Square Farmers Market – led by BioMed Realty and Mass Farmers Markets – returns to Canal District in Kendall Square this summer and fall to bring a rich array of locally grown foods and handcrafted goods to the Cambridge community including fresh produce flowers quality meats and seafood specialty foods and beverages honey and more.
The Farmers Market series is sponsored by BioMed Realty and is managed by Mass Farmers Markets a non-profit organization that has been working to enhance farmers markets and support locally grown food for over forty years. This year’s vendors include Spring Brook Farm Captain Marden's Seafoods Stillman Quality Meats Far From the Tree Cider Far Out Ice Cream and others.
The market accepts cash credit/debit cards WIC/Senior coupons EBT cards and offers a weekly $15 SNAP Match. SNAP users can earn additional benefits through the healthy incentives program (HIP) at the market. Stop by and support your local farmers!

Take a guided walking tour of downtown Stockbridge and discover how the town and its inhabitants both inspired Norman Rockwell and appeared in some of his most iconic works of art. Explore the history of this 1734 village–including its Mohican origins.
Stops will include Norman Rockwell’s home on South Street, his first studio on Main Street, the Old Corner House (site of the original Norman Rockwell Museum), Chief John Konkapot’s property, the Red Lion Inn, the former site of Alice’s Restaurant, and more!

Meet in front of The Old Corner House, 48 Main Street; public on street parking, or designated spaces at Town Hall. Tour route is mostly flat, and on sidewalks.

Only you can prevent wildfires and celebrate Smokey the Bear's 82nd birthday!
Come to The Great Falls Discovery Center for a special visit from Wildland Firefighters from the DCR Bureau of Fire Control & Forestry. Together, we'll learn all about the original Smokey the Bear: an orphaned black bear cub found in New Mexico's Capitan Mountains following a devastating 1950 wildfire. We'll also have a Wildland Fire Engine and a Turners Falls Fire Department fire truck on site to explore, a scavenger hunt to complete, and a meet-and-greet with the great Smokey the Bear himself!
This program is a collaboration of the Montague Public Libraries and the Great Falls Discovery Center. Sponsored by DCR and Montague Public Libraries. Meet in the Great Hall rain or shine. Check out a library book. Leave with a Smokey the Bear souvenir. Free and for all ages.
